In his first press meet after the election defeat, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made significant accusations against the current government. Visiting former MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy in Nellore Central Jail, Jagan alleged that false cases were filed against YSRCP members, leading to their arrests.

Jagan warned the government that fear-induced politics are not the right approach. He hoped that CM Chandrababu Naidu would change his ways and predicted that the people would soon teach him a lesson. He urged the government to gain a good reputation by doing good work.
He made a sensational statement that the YSRCP did not lose due to public opposition but due to alliance promises that led to 10% more votes for NDA. He demanded that CM Chandrababu Naidu fulfill his election promises.
