Yash birthday: 3 fans electrocuted while erecting banners in Karnataka’s Gadag district⚡😢

Two more fans were injured in the incident and are being treated at Laxmeshwar Taluk Hospital. The incident took place late Sunday night when a group of fans were putting up banners in the village to celebrate actor Yash's birthday.

Three fans of Rocking Star Yash were electrocuted while erecting banners on the latter’s birthday in Suranagi village of Gadag district. The incident took place late at night on Sunday. Two more men were injured in the incident and are being treated at Laxmeshwar Taluk Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Hanumanth Harijan (21), Murali Naduvinamani (20) and Naveen (19). All three deceased were residents of Suranagi village of Laxmeshwar taluk of Gadag district. 

On Sunday night, several fans of Yash had gathered at the village and erected banners and cutouts of actor Yash, who is celebrating his 38th birthday on January 8. After tying the thread, the enthusiastic fans raised the banner without noticing a high-tension wire above. As the banner came in contact with electric wire, three fans were electrocuted. Two others who tried to save the three men suffered injuries.

All five men were rushed to the hospital where three men died and two others are being treated at the Taluk Hospital in Laxmeshwar.

Shirahatti MLA Dr Chandru Lamani visited the hospital and enquired about the health of the injured. The officials also briefed the MLA about the incident that claimed three lives.

The bodies of three men will be handed over to their respective families after post-mortem and other formalities.   

The KGF fame actor had already announced that he would be away on his birthday and thanked his fans for the love showered on his next film titled ‘Toxic.’

The title was revealed on December 8. The film is planned to be released in April 2025 and will reportedly feature Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor.⚡😢
