There are three specialties with Tata Motors CNG cars. These are not offered by Maruti or Hyundai CNG cars. Let's find out what they are.
iCNG Technology: Tata CNG cars feature iCNG technology. It has a facility to start the car directly in CNG mode. This is an industry-first feature. This feature is not available in CNG cars of any other company. In others the car starts with petrol first. Then switches to CNG mode. Due to this petrol is also wasted. But Tata CNG cars do not have such a system. Twin-Cylinder Technology: Now Tata CNG cars are using twin-cylinder technology. The company showcased this technology at the Auto Expo 2023. Now it is offering it in its CNG cars. Twin cylinder technology helps in providing boot space. In fact, instead of one big CNG cylinder, two smaller CNG cylinders are offered. AMT Gearbox with CNG: Recently Tata Motors added AMT gearbox option in its CNG models Tiago, Tigor. This makes it the first CNG car in India to come with an AMT gearbox. However, Hyundai and Maruti CNG cars only offer manual gearbox. So if you want an automatic transmission with CNG then Tata Motors should be the only choice. 🚗🌐
