UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Wealth Soars

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murthy, have seen a significant increase in their wealth over the past year. According to recent reports, their combined assets have grown by approximately £120 million, bringing their total wealth to £651 million. ITV UK reported that their wealth had been £529 million the previous year, indicating a substantial rise.

Despite the ongoing economic crisis affecting many billionaires in the UK, Sunak and Murthy's wealth has grown considerably. Analysts attribute this increase to Akshata Murthy's substantial shares in the Indian company Infosys, founded by her father, Narayana Murthy. Her shares in Infosys alone are estimated to have increased by around £108.8 million.

In addition to the Sunaks, King Charles has also seen an increase in his wealth, which grew from £600 million to £610 million over the past year. The latest data reveals that 350 wealthy individuals and families in the UK collectively possess a staggering £795.36 billion.

Hinduja Group Wealth Rises in the UK

The Hinduja Group, managed by Gopi Hinduja and his family, has once again topped the billionaire list in the UK. Their wealth has risen from £35 billion to £37.2 billion over the past year.

However, not all prominent billionaires in the UK have seen an increase in their wealth. Manchester United investor and INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe's net worth has declined by £6 billion, now standing at £23.52 billion. Similarly, Sir James Dyson's wealth has decreased from £23 billion to £20.8 billion, and Sir Richard Branson's fortune has fallen from £4.2 billion to £2.4 billion, primarily due to recent challenges faced by his companies.
