Get ready for a divine spectacle, folks! The Srisailam temple is all set to dazzle with electric lights as it gears up for the grand Ugadi festival. The temple towers are adorned with luminous decorations, setting the stage for a celebration that promises to blend spirituality with splendor.

From today, the 6th, until the 10th, the temple authorities, led by EO Peddiraju, are deep in preparations, ensuring that devotees will experience a festival like never before. The temple premises have been transformed into a sight of breathtaking beauty, with every corner shining in anticipation of the festivities.

The festival kicked off this morning with EO Peddiraju inaugurating the event at the Yagashala. On the first day, devotees will be blessed with the sight of the deity in a magnificent Mahalakshmi attire. By night, the deities will grace the streets of Srisailam on the Brungivahana, offering a divine spectacle to the onlookers.

This 5-day festival not only attracts devotees from the local vicinity but also sees hundreds of devotees from Karnataka, braving the heat and trekking through the Nallamala hills, chanting prayers and fulfilling their vows. It's a testament to their unwavering faith and devotion.

To support the hundreds of kilometers long journey of these devotees, temple authorities and volunteers have made unprecedented arrangements. Refreshments, meals, and lodging facilities have been set up at various points along the forest route. Additionally, medical camps have been organized to attend to any health issues that the pilgrims might face during their journey.

This blend of divine celebration and community support showcases the spirit of Ugadi at Srisailam, making it a festival that transcends mere tradition, embedding itself in the hearts of those who partake in its joyous celebrations.
