#TrueReasonBehindRo-Koh Retirement Unveiled 🏏😲

After winning the T20 World Cup, Team India captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 cricket. While many believed they retired in the joy of winning the World Cup, the reality is different. The BCCI had already issued notices to both players before the start of the T20 World Cup.

Yes, the BCCI did not intend to include Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup squad from the beginning. This is why both senior players were distanced from the T20 team for the past year, focusing instead on the ODI World Cup, where the Indian team performed spectacularly. Before the T20 World Cup began, the BCCI had decided to reinstate Rohit Sharma as the captain, based on the team's impressive performance in the ODI World Cup. However, this led to discussions about excluding Virat Kohli from the T20 squad.

The BCCI was in a dilemma. The responsibility to exclude Kohli from the T20 World Cup squad fell on the selection committee and Rohit Sharma. However, Rohit was not ready to form a World Cup squad without King Kohli. He insisted on including Kohli in the 15-member squad.Consequently, Kohli was selected for the T20 series against Afghanistan, where he impressed with his explosive batting. Following this, he continued to shine in the IPL, making it inevitable to include both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the T20 World Cup squad.

However, before their selection, it was already decided that this would be their last T20 World Cup. The BCCI's selection committee informed both players that a new team would be formed before the 2026 T20 World Cup, with no place for senior players.

Newly appointed Team India coach Gautam Gambhir also demanded the exclusion of senior players from the T20 team. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were informed about the BCCI's notice and the new coach's demands.

Following this, both players were suggested to announce their retirement after the T20 World Cup. Thus, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bid farewell to T20 cricket after their World Cup victory, marking a special end to their illustrious careers.
