Jammu and Kashmir witnessed another encounter as security forces neutralized three terrorists in two separate incidents along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district. In the Machil sector of Kupwara, security forces killed two terrorists during an encounter. Similarly, another terrorist was eliminated in the Tangdhar sector during a gunfight.
On Wednesday night, security forces noticed terrorist movements in the Tangdhar sector and immediately launched a massive operation in the area. Meanwhile, spotting movements of two to three militants in the Machil sector, the 57 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) troops swung into action, conducting a search operation. These operations in both regions led to the elimination of three terrorists by the security forces.
In another development, a third encounter is underway in the Lathi village of Rajouri district. Authorities suspect that four militants are hiding in the area. Currently, security forces are conducting a search operation in the Lathi village and the nearby Dantal forest area.
