Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Major Overhaul on the Cards? 🚀

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is set for a significant transformation, with plans to enhance accommodation and darshan facilities on the hills. The new Executive Officer, Shyamala Rao, aims to make the pilgrimage a memorable experience for every devotee. Let's explore the upcoming changes and what they mean for visitors.

On her first day, Shyamala Rao initiated a thorough inspection of Tirumala. She performed special prayers at the Varahaswamy temple and then visited Lord Venkateswara. Rao emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, promising improvements that will leave a lasting impression on devotees.

Rao started inspecting Sarva Darshan queue lines and guest houses, engaging with devotees to understand their concerns. She issued memos to two sanitary workers due to cleanliness issues and expressed dissatisfaction with the drinking water quality. Her proactive approach aims to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for pilgrims.

The TTD plans to address issues faced by ordinary devotees, including accommodation and darshan scheduling. The current VIP break darshan, held from 8 AM to 12 PM, often causes delays for general darshan. TTD is considering reverting to the previous system, where VIP darshan would be completed during the naivedyam time, allowing regular devotees more access. cilities 🏠

With 7800 guest houses and additional pilgrim amenities centers, TTD aims to ensure every devotee finds a place to stay. They are also planning to introduce Divya Darshan tokens along the walking paths, prioritizing the needs of regular visitors.

TTD's top priorities include improving the quality of annaprasadam (free meals), laddus, and maintaining the greenery and cleanliness of Tirumala. These efforts are geared towards providing a serene and fulfilling experience for all pilgrims.
