Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched three new Vande Bharat Express trains virtually, adding more options for fast and comfortable travel across India. With these new trains, the total number of Vande Bharat trains running in the country has reached 54. Before today, 51 Vande Bharat trains were already operational, and now, with these three, the count goes up to 54.
The new Vande Bharat trains will benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. One of the new trains will run between Meerut and Lucknow, another between Madurai and Bengaluru, and the third one between Chennai and Nagercoil. While Vande Bharat trains are known for their higher ticket prices, their popularity is rising due to the significant time they save for passengers.
These semi-high-speed trains offer modern amenities and quick travel, making them a preferred choice for passengers across the country. With PM Modi's vision to enhance India's railway network, more such launches are expected in the near future to make travel faster, safer, and more comfortable.
