The Enigmatic Jagannath Temple of Behata šŸŒ§ļøšŸ›ļø

Hey everyone! Did you know that India is not only a land of spiritual richness but also home to some mysterious temples that even science can't fully explain? One such temple is the Jagannath Temple in Behata village, 50 km from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This temple is famous for predicting the monsoon rains! šŸŒ§ļøšŸ”

The Monsoon Mystery:

The Jagannath Temple, also known as the 'Monsoon Temple,' has a unique feature. A few days before the monsoon season, water droplets start to trickle from the ceiling of the temple's sanctum sanctorum. These droplets fall in the shape of raindrops, and their size helps in predicting the strength of the monsoon for that year. If the droplets are large and abundant, it indicates a strong monsoon with heavy rainfall. Conversely, small and few droplets suggest a weaker monsoon. šŸ’§šŸŒæ

How It Works:

According to temple priest Kudha Prasad Shukla, the droplets begin to fall during the first half of June. The droplets come from a stone on the gopuram (temple tower). When the droplets dry up quickly, it signifies imminent rain. This year, the droplets have not dried up completely, suggesting a slight delay in the monsoon arrival. However, the size of the droplets indicates that a good monsoon is expected. šŸŒ§ļøšŸ•‰ļø
