šŸŒ The Congress government has released a white paper on the economic situation of Telangana.. šŸ’¼šŸ’µ

The government disclosed in the white paper that the total debt of the state is Rs.6,71,757 crore. CM Revanth Reddy opined that the state was made to sink into debt of Rs.6 lakh crore which was Rs.72,658 crore in 2014-15. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that if all the facts are carefully analyzed, Telangana state which was a revenue surplus state in 2014 and one of the fastest growing economies in the country is now mired in debt crisis. šŸ’¬šŸ“‰

Telangana's total debt is Rs.6,71,757 crores

As of 2014-15, the state debt was Rs.72,658 crore

24.5 percent increase in debt between 2014-15 and 2022-23

As per the estimates for 2023-24, the state debt is Rs.3,89,673 crore

In 2015-16, debt to GSDP was the lowest in the country at 15.7 percent.

Percentage of debt and GSDP increased to 27.8 percent by 2023-24

20 percent gap between budget and actual expenditure

4.98 lakh crore expenditure for the development of Telangana in 57 years
