Thalapathy Vijay Blasts TN Govt Over Drug Mafia 🚨

Tamil star and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay has launched a scathing attack on the DMK government. At a ceremony in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, Vijay awarded financial assistance to students who excelled in their 10th and 12th exams. Speaking to thousands of students, Vijay expressed his concerns about the rampant drug mafia in the state and criticized the government for its failure to control it.

Vijay accused the Stalin-led government of not taking any effective steps to curb the drug menace in Tamil Nadu. He shared his fears as a parent and political leader, stating that the increasing drug usage is alarming. Vijay emphasized that it is the government's duty to protect the youth from drugs and called for better leadership in Tamil Nadu. He urged the youth to say no to temporary pleasures and warned them against falling for political propaganda on social media.

This is Vijay's first major criticism of the DMK government, and it comes at a significant time as TVK is set to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Vijay’s remarks have stirred up the political landscape, highlighting his intention to make a strong political entry.

In related news, a recent spurious liquor incident in Kallakurichi claimed 60 lives, prompting the Human Rights Commission (HRC) to issue notices to the Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary and DGP for a report within a week. Many victims are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.
