Known for redefining cinematic heroics, Kanagaraj is set to unveil a new dimension of Thalaivar that promises to leave audiences spellbound. The film, which is said to be set against the backdrop of the 1980s gold smuggling saga, will soon reveal its much-awaited title.
The latest buzz is that Telugu cinema's own Nagarjuna has been approached for a crucial role in this multi-starrer. Initial talks seem to have received a positive nod from Nag, who has shown a keen interest in multi-starrer projects lately, including his involvement in Dhanush's upcoming movie. It's not every day that a director like Shekhar Kammula would set up such a star-studded ensemble, but the pairing of Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna would undoubtedly be a major draw.

Rajinikanth is currently wrapping up his project 'Vettaian', slated for an October release, speeding up the shooting schedule.
