The much-awaited Southwest Monsoon has finally made its way into Telangana, bringing relief from scorching temperatures and hot winds. The Meteorological Department reported that the monsoon has spread across the state, reaching Khammam by Thursday.
A circulation pattern was observed near the coasts of North Andhra and South Odisha, located at a distance of 3.1-5.8 km from the sea level. 😃🌊As a result of this monsoon effect, heavy rains have drenched the joint Mahabubnagar district. The Meteorological Department predicts that light to moderate rains accompanied by thunder and lightning will occur in many parts of the state on Friday and Saturday. The capital city, Hyderabad, has also experienced a drop in temperature, with moderate rain on Wednesday and light showers on Thursday. 🌧️🌦️Several districts, including Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwala, Vanaparthi, Nagarkurnool, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Khammam, received heavy rainfall. The highest recorded rainfall was 9.6 cm in Manchal mandal of Rangareddy district, followed by 7 cm in Tirumalagiri mandal of Nalgonda district, 6.4 cm in Palakedu mandal of Suryapet district, and 6.3 cm in Mudigonda mandal of Khammam district. Yadadri and Bhuvanagiri districts also witnessed rainfall, although it caused inconvenience for devotees visiting Yadadri Hill. ⛈️💦Farmers have welcomed the intensified rains as they have begun their agricultural activities. Seed sowing has commenced in many districts, including Warangal, Hanmakonda, Mulugu, Bhupalapalli, Mahabubabad, Adilabad, and Nirmal. Farmers are optimistic that these rains will provide much-needed water for the crops and increase their chances of survival. If the rainfall continues for another two days, there will be a significant opportunity for widespread sowing. Farmers emphasize the need for at least a week of rain for planting fiber crops. 🌾🌧️🚜The onset of the Southwest Monsoon has not only brought respite from the heat but also rejuvenated the land, offering hope and opportunities for agricultural activities and a more pleasant environment for the people of Telangana. 🌾🌦️😊
