The polling for the MLC by-election in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates constituency has begun. Starting at 8 AM, the voting will continue until 4 PM. Election officials have set up 605 polling stations across the three erstwhile districts. Unlike Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, this election is being conducted via ballot paper. As of 10 AM, a voter turnout of 11.34% has been recorded.

In this Graduates MLC election, a total of 52 candidates are in the fray. The voting is happening across 34 Assembly constituencies within the 12 current districts (three erstwhile districts). There are 4,61,806 eligible voters, with 2,87,007 male voters and 1,74,794 female voters. The Election Commission has declared a paid holiday for all eligible voters today. The results will be announced on June 5th.

The main parties have taken this election very seriously, with key contenders being from Congress, BJP, and BRS. Senior leaders from these parties have held preparatory meetings in various constituencies, urging graduates to support their candidates. Independent candidates are also expected to play a crucial role, potentially affecting the main party candidates' chances with their significant campaigning efforts.
