The Telangana Government has released a notification for the appointment of vacant Chairman and Members in the Telangana Public Service Commission. Eligible candidates should apply before January 18, the notification said. Sarkar has suggested that the application form can be downloaded from the website www.telangana.gov.in. Completed applications should be sent to secy-ser-gad@telangana.gov.in by 5 pm on 18th. The details regarding the qualifications are also explained in the notification.
TSPSC Resignations: Governor Tamilsai recently accepted the resignations of Telangana Public Service Commission Chairman Janarthan Reddy and other members. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a review on the activities of the Public Service Commission immediately after the Congress government came to power in Telangana. The Congress government felt that the Commission should be purged immediately after taking charge as Chief Minister. The chairman of the commission submitted his resignation to the governor on the day of the review.
The governor did not accept the resignations as the investigation into the leak of the Group 1 preliminary examinations conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission and the question papers of several examinations conducted by the commission is ongoing. CM Revanth Reddy consulted with the Governor's office to accept the resignations of the commission members on this matter.
