In a shocking incident, the wife of Choppadandi Congress MLA Medipalli Satyam, Roopa Devi, committed suicide on Thursday evening. Roopa Devi, who was a government teacher in Vikarabad district, hanged herself at their residence in Panchsheel Colony, Alwal. The reasons behind her suicide are yet to be ascertained. The police have registered a case and are investigating the reasons behind this tragic incident. Her body has been shifted to a private hospital in Kompally for postmortem.
