The first meeting of the third assembly of Telangana began on Saturday. The newly elected members are taking oath as MLAs in the Assembly.
Akbaruddin Owaisi, who took oath as Protem Speaker at Raj Bhavan, took oath with the MLAs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took oath first. Later, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Seethakka, Damodara Rajanarsimha, Duddilla Sridhar Babu and others took oath. Later, the Telangana Assembly meeting was postponed to December 14. 📅🎉
BJP state president Kishan Reddy has accused the Congress party of trampling past traditions and rules in the matter of selecting the protem speaker. It was criticized that Akbaruddin was appointed as Protem Speaker as part of the agreement with MIM. Kishan Reddy said that they are boycotting the oath taking program of MLAs in protest. 🎙🚫
