#TDP in a Tight Spot Over Supreme Court’s Laddu Remarks 🪔🍯

The recent row over Chandrababu Naidu’s claim regarding the use of adulterated ghee in Tirupati laddus has turned into a full-blown political drama! After the Supreme Court gave a stinging comment on the issue, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) have locked horns once again over who is right.

The controversy started when Chandrababu Naidu alleged that under the YSRCP regime, the ghee used in Tirupati laddus had animal fat. Naidu even presented a lab report that he claimed supported his accusations. But the Supreme Court wasn’t having it! 👀

Supreme Court Slams Naidu 🎯

During a hearing, Justice K V Viswanathan questioned Naidu’s actions, asking why he went public with his allegations even before the investigation was completed. The court remarked, “You get the report in July. By September 18, you go public. How did you go to the public with that, unless you are sure?” 🔍

The Supreme Court was clearly displeased with Naidu’s hurry to take the issue to the media before waiting for the investigation results. It also asked whether there was any need to politicize a matter related to something as sacred as Tirupati laddus. The court commented, “We expect Gods to be kept away from politics.” 😬

This is a huge blow to Naidu and the TDP, as it paints them in a negative light, suggesting that they might have jumped the gun without proper proof. Naidu’s claims might backfire, and he is now left with a lot of explaining to do.

TDP Stands by Its Claims 💬

Despite the Supreme Court’s remarks, the TDP is doubling down on its allegations. TDP spokesperson K Pattabhi Ram said, “We stand by everything we have said before. Adulterated ghee was used to prepare Tirupati laddus.” He welcomed the Supreme Court’s suggestion to involve the Centre for a possible central investigation. 💼

He also mentioned that A R Dairy Food Private Limited, which supplied eight tankers of ghee, was under scrutiny. Ram added that samples from the last four tankers were tested and found to be adulterated. He further pointed out that it would be suspicious if only the first four tankers contained pure ghee while the rest were adulterated. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has apparently backed the TDP’s findings. 🧴

YSRCP Hits Back ⚡

The YSR Congress Party, on the other hand, is not letting this go easily. YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana slammed the TDP, calling the allegations “baseless.” He said, “We have been asking the same thing ever since the TDP government made these baseless allegations. Where and when was adulterated ghee used?” YSRCP is standing firm, claiming that TDP’s allegations are just a political ploy to stir up controversy. 🎤

Botsa also challenged Naidu to allow a third-party probe to settle the matter once and for all. He’s confident that the YSRCP has nothing to hide and that Naidu’s accusations will eventually crumble. 🔍

TDP’s Gamble Backfires? 🎲

It seems like TDP’s attempts to beat BJP in the communal rhetoric game may have backfired. By rushing to the media with half-baked accusations without waiting for the investigation to conclude, Naidu has landed in hot water. 🤦‍♂️

While BJP has managed to distance itself from this issue, it’s the Jana Sena Party (JSP) that has taken the upper hand in grabbing the communal edge. With the upcoming elections, TDP might find itself in an awkward position, trying to outplay its own allies in the NDA. Meanwhile, YSRCP, which has been struggling to answer TDP’s attacks properly, might just take a lesson from the Supreme Court and start asking the right questions instead of simply reacting to every claim. 🗳️

The Supreme Court’s scolding might serve as a warning for all political parties to stop politicizing religious sentiments, especially when it involves a sacred symbol like the Tirupati laddus. Let’s see how this political laddoo saga unfolds in the coming days! 😲
