TDP Focuses on Local Elections in Telangana

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is gearing up for local body elections in Telangana, even though it stayed away from Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called on party leaders to prepare for the local elections, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the party in the state. He also mentioned that the party will encourage youth participation in these elections and that a new state president for Telangana will be appointed soon.

Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Telangana TDP leaders at his residence in Jubilee Hills yesterday. He explained the reasons behind the party’s decision to stay away from the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections and discussed the circumstances leading to that decision. Naidu urged leaders to get ready for the upcoming local body elections, assuring them that TDP will remain active in both Telugu states as long as the Telugu community exists. He acknowledged that developments in Andhra Pradesh had diverted his focus from Telangana but promised to allocate more time to the state moving forward.
