Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh has become the latest attraction for locals and tourists alike as it attracts crowds not only for its natural beauty but also for a unique culinary experience called 'Pizza ATM'. This innovative pizza ATM, installed by the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO), prepares a pizza in just three minutes. According to Sitco officials, the Pizza ATM is the first in North India. Currently, it is the only operational ATM in the country. The concept was inspired by a similar machine in France. However, Dr. Rohit Sharma of iMatrix Worldwide took up the challenge of making the machine more accessible at his Mohali factory. Dr. Rohit Sharma revealed that the idea came from the success of a similar venture in Mumbai. However, it was forced to close due to challenges related to the pandemic. However, it received a very positive response from the public at Sukhna Lake. The machine makes an average of 100 pizzas per day and 200 to 300 pizzas on weekends.
