Bad news for chicken lovers! šØ In recent days, chicken prices in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have soared unexpectedly. Within just a week, chicken prices have climbed steeply, causing concern among consumers. Accompanied by the scorching heat, the rising chicken rates are making the common man sweat even more.
Last week, in major cities across Telugu states like Hyderabad, the price for a kilo of skinless chicken shot up from Rs. 200 to Rs. 220. For chicken with skin, the prices were slightly lower, ranging from Rs. 180 to Rs. 200. Now, the cost for a kilo of chicken has reached a point where, in villages, half a kilo of mutton can be bought for the same price. Currently, in the Hyderabad market, a kilo of skinless chicken is being sold for up to Rs. 300, and with skin, itās around Rs. 280.
Chicken enthusiasts are aghast, wondering why the prices have increased so much in just a week. Similar trends are being observed in major towns across Andhra Pradesh. While chicken prices are rocketing, egg prices, which had been rising until recently, have started to decrease slightly.
