BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Delhi High Court, demanding the cancellation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Indian citizenship. Swamy claims that Rahul declared himself as a British national, thus invalidating his Indian citizenship. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Swamy urged the court to direct the Home Ministry to revoke Rahul's citizenship. He also questioned whether Sonia Gandhi was blackmailing Prime Minister Modi to avoid action against Rahul. Swamy cited a UK-registered company where Rahul was listed as a director and mentioned that the 2005 annual return referred to him as a British citizen.
