Son Of Beant Singh Who Assassinated PM Indira Gandhi Contesting Lok Sabha Seat🗳️✨

Sarabjit Singh Khalsa (45), the son of one of the killers of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is contesting the Lok Sabha elections. He is contesting as an independent from Faridkot constituency in Punjab in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

A Class 12 dropout, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa is the son of Beant Singh, one of the two assassins who killed the late prime minister. But this is not the first time that Beant Singh is contesting the elections. In the past too, Beant Singh contested elections many times and was defeated. In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from Bathinda constituency and lost. He got 13,490 lakh votes in that election. He contested from the Fatehgarh Sahib (reserved) seat in the Punjab Assembly elections in 2014 and was defeated. In 2019, he contested as a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate.

At the time of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he claimed in an affidavit that he had assets of Rs 3.5 crore. Sarabjeet's mother Bimal Kaur Khalsa contested as MP from Ropar seat in 1989 general elections and won. In the same election, his grandfather Suchasingh also contested from Bathinda and won as an MP. Presently Sarabjeet is contesting from Faridkot, which is represented by Congress MP Mohammed Sadiq. Sitting MP and film playback singer Hansraj Hans is contesting on behalf of BJP in this Lok Sabha election. Renowned comedian Karanjeet Anumol is contesting on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party. Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress parties are yet to announce their candidates for Faridkot. It is known that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi lost her life on October 31, 1984 when her bodyguards Beant Singh and Satwant Singh shot them with guns at her residence.🗳️✨
