Shruti initially intended to make her debut as a music director with Kamal Haasan's film "Dasavatharam."
Despite Kamal’s encouragement, she lacked the confidence at that time. Kamal Haasan has mentioned this several times, expressing his support for his daughter's musical journey.
Now, Shruti is confidently collaborating with her father. Recently, she wrote lyrics for a video song she did with Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Kamal Haasan himself wrote the lyrics.
Shruti also gave a special performance at the "Indian 2" music event, which she considers a lifetime achievement.
