The list of candidates contesting from the NDA alliance in AP is going to be final. Party candidates from YCP have been announced officially. Congress has already received applications from aspirants. The Election Screening Committee is working on these. As part of that, PCC chief YS Sharmila is reported to have suggested the Congress leadership over the contest.
It seems that the party leadership suggested that Sharmila should contest from Kadapa MP seat. Sharmila has been saying that she will contest the elections if the party suggests. Now the party leadership is mainly focusing on MP seats. However, Sharmila has to take the final decision on the party's suggestion.
There is a discussion in the party that TDP is thinking of fielding Viveka's wife Saubhagyamma as Kadapa MP. However, another idea to make Saubhagyamma contest from the Congress seems to have been proposed in the recently held Viveka Samsmarana Sabha. Now that the Congress leadership is suggesting Sharmila to enter the ring as Kadapa MP... it is expected that there will be no competition from Viveka's family. Avinash Reddy, who won two consecutive MPs from YCP, is contesting once again. Viveka's daughter Sunita has made several allegations against Avinash in her father's murder case. Recently, she called not to vote for YCP at her father's funeral.

The list of AP Congress candidates will be released on 25th of this month. While Jagan is contesting from Pulivendula, BTech Ravi is contesting as a TDP candidate.
