Another security lapse occurred at a campaign rally of former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. During a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Friday, an attacker tried to rush toward the stage while Trump was addressing his supporters. The individual managed to get close to the media point before being intercepted by the alert police, who quickly surrounded him and took him into custody. This incident has sparked significant concern and debate about Trump's safety at rallies.
This isn't the first time Trump's security has been compromised. On the 16th of last month, a similar attack took place during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. While Trump, aged 78, was speaking, a gunman opened fire, narrowly missing him. Trump suffered an injury to his right ear, and one person attending the rally died, while two others were injured. The attacker was immediately shot dead by a Secret Service sniper. With the presidential elections approaching, these repeated attacks on Trump have raised alarms among Republican leaders and supporters regarding his security.
