#ScindiaSlamsRahulGandhi Over Remarks on Kolkata Rape Case

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has lashed out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over his comments regarding the horrific rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. Scindia accused Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA Alliance of being insensitive to the tragedy, stating that the mindset of the opposition leaders has deteriorated significantly.

Scindia shared a video clip on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) where Rahul Gandhi is seen responding to journalists' questions about the Supreme Court's intervention in the Kolkata case. Rahul Gandhi’s response was, "I am here for this reason. Yes, I know you want to divert attention and not raise this issue," which Scindia found deeply offensive.

In his social media post, Scindia criticized Rahul Gandhi’s remarks as "reprehensible and anti-women," claiming that the opposition leader’s statement shows a lack of empathy towards the plight of the victim. He further targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating that under her leadership, women have faced years of suppression, which the nation witnesses today.

Scindia also pointed out that where the INDIA Alliance governs, women’s safety and dignity are at risk, as evident from the recent incident in Kolkata. He referred to Rahul Gandhi's slogan, "Mohabbat Ki Dukan," and remarked that those who trade in fear and violence will never be forgiven by the people. Scindia concluded his post by expressing solidarity with the victim's family, emphasizing that the entire nation stands with them.
