🗣️ Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, during his US visit, launched a fresh attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He accused the RSS of demeaning certain religions, languages, and communities in India. Speaking to the Indian diaspora at an event in Herndon, near Washington DC, Rahul emphasized that the real struggle in India is not just political but a fight for values and inclusivity.
🔍 Addressing a Sikh youth who attended the meeting, Rahul asked him to introduce himself, saying, "What is your name, brother? You, wearing a turban, tell us about yourself." He expressed his concern over whether Sikhs would be allowed to wear their turbans or visit gurdwaras in the future under the current regime. "This is what the fight in India is all about. It is not merely a political battle but one that goes beyond, to something more fundamental," he added.
🗨️ At the event, Rahul further criticized the RSS by saying, "RSS believes some states are lesser than others, some languages are inferior to others, and some religions are not as good as others." These remarks were in line with his previous criticisms made during his speech in Dallas, where he continued to target the RSS for its divisive ideology.
