Telugu Indian Idol Season 3 streams every Friday and Saturday night at 7 PM on the Aha OTT platform. Anandan Shiva Mani, popularly known as Drums Shiva Mani, attended the show as a special judge. During the show, he became emotional while remembering the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB). Shiva Mani shared that he began his career under the guidance of SPB and has many cherished memories with him. He played the last voice note sent by SPB on the mic, making everyone emotional.
Shiva Mani mentioned that he calls SPB every year on Guru Purnima. He got emotional while recalling SPB on July 21, 2024, during the Guru Purnima festival. Music director Thaman also remembered his bond with SPB, recalling his first flight at the age of 12 with SPB. Thaman spoke about the challenges he faced after his father's death and how Shiva Mani supported him during those tough times.
Thaman said, "After my father passed away, I focused on taking care of my mother and sister, but I never cried. Every October, Shiva Mani garu wears Ayyappa mala and goes to Sabarimala. However, during my difficult time, he removed the mala and came to meet us. Seeing him then made me cry," Thaman shared.
