In a recent interview with a media outlet, Manoj spoke about Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming movie "Sarkar" and made some interesting comments. It seems like he was jokingly teasing Ram Gopal Varma, saying that he would become a hero himself if Ram Gopal Varma makes a film for him. He mentioned their relationship and how Ram Gopal Varma can make fun of him by saying that he will remove Manoj Bajpayee from the lead role in the movie "Daud". He also mentioned that he met RGV for the first time on the sets of "Bandit Queen" where he played the character of Maan Singh. Manoj also revealed that he has been closely following RGV and has watched many of his films. He liked the character Bhiku from "Satya" and praised RGV for his work. Later, when he went for the movie "Daud", he asked RGV why he removed him from the second role. Manoj expressed his disappointment and asked RGV if he is the main lead now. Manoj even jokingly said that he might quit acting if RGV removes him from the character of Bhiku. Then RGV assured him that only Bhiku's character is written specifically for him and nobody else can do justice to it. After that, Manoj accepted the role and said that he feels grateful for it. Now, after a long time, Manoj is going to collaborate with Ram Gopal Varma again for the film "Sarkar". But this time, he mentioned that he feels a bit apprehensive about being replaced for the second character. He jokingly asked RGV if he could only cast him as the lead character. However, he expressed his happiness after watching the rushes of the film and mentioned that Bhiku's character is only meant for him and it brings him joy.
