  • Title and Theme: 'Rakshana' is an investigative thriller. The title was chosen to reflect the protective nature of the main character. Initially, they considered 'Rakshak', inspired by Telangana police vehicles, but eventually settled on 'Rakshana'. The film has a realistic approach.

  • Casting Payal Rajput: The script was written without any actor in mind, but the director wanted someone with a suitable physique for the police role. After the release of 'RX 100', Payal Rajput seemed perfect for the role. She loved the story and agreed to star in the film.

  • Shooting and Promotion: The film was shot over 57 days, with Payal Rajput filming for 47 of those days. There were disagreements over promotion obligations, but the director expressed confidence in the film and was willing to pay the remaining balance to Payal despite the issues.

  • Director’s Background: Pranadeep Thakur has worked as an assistant and co-director with notable directors like Gunasekhar and Anand Ranga. His experience includes working on films like 'Okkadu', 'Sainikudu', 'Rudramadevi', 'Oy!', and 'Orange'.
