Rajamouli’s Exciting Update: "Sye" Set for a 4K Re-release

Renowned for delivering blockbuster hits in Tollywood, SS Rajamouli is currently busy with the pre-production work of SSMB 29, starring superstar Mahesh Babu. Amidst this, news has surfaced about the re-release of one of his earlier films.

The sports action drama "Sye," which featured Nithiin as the lead and was released in 2004, achieved significant success at the box office. The makers are now preparing to re-release the movie in a 4K format, with the release date to be announced shortly. Genelia D'Souza starred opposite Nithiin, while Shashank, Pradeep Rawat, Venu Madhav, and Nazar played pivotal roles. Produced by A. Bharati, the film's music was composed by M.M. Keeravani.

Given that Tollywood's young hero Nithiin hasn’t had a hit in a while, the anticipation is high among his fans for this re-release. Despite receiving positive reviews in 2004, "Sye" did not rake in substantial collections. However, it managed to garner a strong following among the youth. While all of Rajamouli’s films have been box office hits, "Sye" did not perform as expected, making its re-release an interesting event for moviegoers.

With the ongoing trend of re-releasing hit films in Tollywood, several classics have made a successful comeback, achieving impressive collections. Films like "Pokiri" and "Simhadri" have thrilled fans with their re-releases, securing remarkable box office numbers even surpassing expectations on their opening days. It remains to be seen how "Sye" will fare in its re-release.
