🌐 Prime Minister Narendra Modi who met Daramaphosa on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit gifted Telangana's Bidri artifact 'Surahi'.

It is a 500 year old art. Bidri art, which was initially limited to Bidar, spread to Hyderabad. Bidri vases are made from an alloy of zinc, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Beautiful patterns are carved on the casting. Woven with pure silver wire. Metal solutions are mixed with special clay found in Bidar Fort which has special attractive properties. Necessary designs are made on Bidri vessels. Gold and silver are used for this. It also has a special process to get black color. That's why these Bidri artifacts have worldwide importance.

🌄 And Naga shawls.. are a replica of the textile art woven for centuries by the tribals of the state of Nagaland. Vibrant colors, intricate designs and the tradition of weaving these shawls from generation to generation have made this shawl craze. PM Modi also gifted this shawl to South Africa's First Lady Tshepo Motsepe.
