Prabhas Starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD' Creates Box Office Tsunami 🌊

The highly anticipated film 'Kalki 2898 AD', directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, has taken the box office by storm on its first day. With a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, the film was made with a massive budget of ₹600 crores by producer Ashwini Dutt. Matching its pre-release hype, the film has achieved phenomenal collections post-release.

On the first day, 'Kalki 2898 AD' grossed ₹111 crores across India. In the two Telugu states, it raked in ₹67 crores, followed by ₹12.5 crores in Karnataka, ₹5 crores in Tamil Nadu, ₹3 crores in Kerala, and ₹24 crores in the Hindi belt. Overseas, the film grossed ₹40 crores, bringing the total to an impressive ₹80 crores from international markets.

The second day saw sustained strong collections for 'Kalki 2898 AD'. In Hyderabad, occupancy rates were 65%, Warangal 60%, Vizag 58%, Karimnagar 55%, Mahbubnagar 83%, and Kakinada 55%.

In terms of collections, the film grossed ₹35 crores in the Telugu states on the second day, with Hindi collections reaching ₹20 crores. Globally, the film is estimated to have collected between ₹85 to ₹90 crores on the second day. With ₹191 crores on the first day and up to ₹90 crores on the second day, the total collections for the first two days range between ₹280 to ₹300 crores. Trade experts predict that the film will enter the ₹1000 crores club by the end of the weekend.

Despite its three-hour runtime, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has not seen any negative impact on its collections. The stellar performance by Prabhas, stunning visual effects, and a massive ensemble cast are major plus points for the film. Nag Ashwin's storytelling also stands out as a highlight.
