Prabhas gets a wax statue in Mysore. 'Baahubali' producer threatens action

Prabhas' wax statute has been installed at a museum in Mysore, Karnataka. 'Baahubali' producer Shobu Yarlagadda claimed that the team did not obtain permission from them.

Prabhas, who is fondly called Rebel Star by his fans, played the iconic character of Mahendra and Amarendra Baahubali in SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' series. His performance catapulted him to fame worldwide. Years after the film's success, it has been brought to attention that a wax statue of Prabhas' has been installed at a museum in Hyderabad. 'Baahubali' producer Shobu Yarlagadda took to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that the statue was installed without permission.

Up until 'Baahubali, Prabhas was a leading star in the Telugu film industry. After 'Baahubali', the actor truly became a pan-Indian star and received worldwide recognition.

Recently, a fan page of Prabhas on X, shared a picture of the actor's wax statue at a museum in Mysore. However, it did not go down well with 'Baahubali' producer Shobu Yarlagadda. He revealed that it was not licensed work and no permission was sought before the installation.

His post read, "This not an officially licensed work and was done without our permission or knowledge. We will be taking immediate steps to get this removed (sic)."
