Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently hosted a special meeting with India’s Paris 2024 Olympic medalists. This gathering took place right after the grand 78th Independence Day celebrations at Delhi’s Red Fort, where PM Modi hoisted the national flag. The Olympic stars, including shooter Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, and the Indian men’s hockey team, attended the ceremony and later met the Prime Minister at his official residence.
During the meet, the Indian men's hockey team presented PM Modi with a unique gift—a jersey signed by all the team members. This gesture marked a memorable moment as India celebrated its achievements at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where the nation secured a total of six medals: one silver and five bronze, finishing 71st in the medal tally.
