ISRO Chairman S. Somanath has hinted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi might travel to space after the Gaganyaan mission becomes operational. In an interview with a national news channel, Somanath expressed pride in the potential of sending India's head of government to space. 🚀 When asked about the possibility of PM Modi traveling to space, Dr. Somanath clarified that sending VIPs is not feasible at this stage. He explained that participating in such missions requires extensive training, which could take months or even years. Given Modi's numerous crucial responsibilities, it's impractical for him to undergo this training. Currently, astronauts are undergoing rigorous preparation for the mission to the International Space Station (ISS). 🌠 Dr. Somanath emphasized the pride it would bring if an Indian leader could step into space aboard an indigenous vehicle.
