Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the establishment of five new districts in the Union Territory of Ladakh. In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Prime Minister revealed that the new districts will be Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang.
PM Modi emphasized that this decision was taken to ensure good governance and enhance the well-being of the people of Ladakh. The creation of these new districts is expected to bring better administrative services and development opportunities to the region. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared this news on his official X account, stating that the government's decision is aimed at creating remarkable opportunities for the people of Ladakh.
