Amidst the ongoing intense conflict, Prime Minister Narendra Modi carried a message of peace during his bold visit to Ukraine. Despite the dire situation in Ukraine, PM Modi made a historic trip, including a significant meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. After a two-day visit to Poland, Modi arrived in Ukraine, where he reiterated India's stance that the Ukraine-Russia conflict can only be resolved through dialogue and negotiations.
India has once again emphasized the need for both countries to engage in talks, offering its full support in facilitating peace. Modi assured President Zelenskyy that India is ready to assist in all possible ways to restore peace as quickly as possible. He also briefed Zelenskyy on his discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin in July, aiming to bring an end to the war.
During the meeting, the Indian government announced that four agreements were signed between the two nations, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations in trade, economics, defense, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and education. However, the primary focus remained on addressing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
PM Modi shared a video on social media, highlighting his visit to Kyiv, his discussions with Zelenskyy, and other key moments from his Ukraine trip.
