If this bill is implemented, 33 percent of the seats in the legislatures should be reserved for women. Responding to the debate on the bill, Home Minister Amit Shah clarified that the new government that will be formed next year will take up the reorganization of the census and constituencies as soon as it assumes responsibility. 📢 Prime Minister Modi expressed happiness over the approval of the bill in the Lok Sabha.
