The shocking murder case of a Kolkata doctor continues to reveal new details, with each day bringing fresh developments. The Calcutta High Court has now granted permission to the CBI to conduct polygraph tests on four colleagues who spent the last hour with the deceased doctor. The CBI believes that the polygraph tests could help uncover what exactly transpired in the doctor’s final moments.
The four individuals include two first-year post-graduate trainees, a house surgeon, and an intern. They all had dinner together with the 31-year-old victim shortly before the tragic incident occurred. Although these individuals are not suspects, their statements have been contradictory. They were the last people to see the victim before and immediately after the crime, raising questions about their involvement or possible tampering with evidence.
The CBI intends to use the polygraph tests to determine whether any attempts were made to tamper with evidence. Additionally, fingerprints of two of these individuals were found in the seminar room on the third floor of the hospital, where the doctor’s body was discovered. This critical discovery has prompted the investigation to take this new direction, as authorities seek the truth behind this disturbing case.
