New Sharing Model for Distributors and Exhibitors in Nizam Market🎥

Hey movie buffs! 👋 Big changes are coming to the Nizam market, especially for our beloved theaters! 😍 Recently, a meeting was held by the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce on May 21st, 2024. In this meeting, industry giants like Shirish Reddy (Sri Venkateswara Films, SVC Cinemas) and Sunil Narang (Asian Theatres, Global Films) discussed the future of our movie theaters. 🍿

After movies were halted for a while, theaters were temporarily shut down, mainly in our Telugu states. To prevent such situations from happening again, they have come up with new sharing rules between distributors and exhibitors to keep the cinemas running smoothly. Here's the scoop on the new rules:

1. For movies with Nizam rights above ₹30 crores:

• First Week: 75% Distributor, 25% Exhibitor

• Second Week: 55% Distributor, 45% Exhibitor

• Third Week: 40% Distributor, 60% Exhibitor

• From Fourth Week onwards: 30% Distributor, 70% Exhibitor

1. For movies with Nizam rights between ₹10 crores and ₹30 crores:

• First Week: 60% Distributor, 40% Exhibitor

• Second Week: 50% Distributor, 50% Exhibitor

• Third Week: 40% Distributor, 60% Exhibitor

• From Fourth Week onwards: 30% Distributor, 70% Exhibitor

1. For movies with Nizam rights below ₹10 crores:

• First Week: 50% Distributor, 50% Exhibitor

• Second Week: 40% Distributor, 60% Exhibitor

• From Third Week onwards: 30% Distributor, 70% Exhibitor

These new percentages will be implemented starting from July 1st, 2024. This decision aims to ensure that movie theaters remain open and thrive, providing us with endless entertainment. 🎬
