🏏📜 New rules in ODI and T20 from today..

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 This rule will be implemented for the first time in the England vs West Indies T20 series starting today. This rule will be implemented in various T20 series for the next 6 months. If it has benefits, without adversely affecting the game, it will be done permanently in T20, ODI.

⏱️ What is the Stop Clock Rule?

According to this rule, the bowling team must be ready to bowl the second over within 60 seconds of the end of one over. Immediately after an over, the third umpire's watch begins. The clock will continue to run on the big screen in the stadium. If the bowling team does not start the second over within 60 seconds, there is no penalty for doing so twice in an innings. But if this happens for the third time, a penalty of 5 runs will be imposed on the bowling team. That means 5 extra runs will be given to the batting team.

🕒 There are some other rules along with it. For example, if the batting team wastes time and then comes out to bowl, the time wasted is deducted from the total time available to it. In such a situation there is less than 60 seconds between two overs. 🕒✨
