On Thursday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the Ministry of Law was finalizing the rules. Under this new law, anyone caught illegally obtaining exam papers, leaking questions and answers, helping candidates unfairly, tampering with computer networks, conducting fake exams, or issuing fake admit cards will face severe consequences. Offenders can be sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison and fined up to ₹1 crore. If they are involved in organized crime, their properties can be confiscated too.
