Full Story: VK Pandian, who entered politics to assist Naveen Patnaik, released a heartfelt video message addressing party workers and leaders. He expressed his decision to exit the political arena, offering apologies to anyone he might have hurt during his tenure. Pandian cited the negative propaganda against him as a contributing factor to the party's loss, which deeply affected him.

"I joined politics to help Naveen Babu. Now, I have decided to step away from this field. I apologize if I have hurt anyone during this journey. The malicious propaganda against me causing the party's defeat has pained me. I thank all BJD family members who worked with me. Odisha will always hold a special place in my heart. Naveen Babu is my lifeline. I pray to Lord Jagannath for everyone's happiness and well-being," he said.

Pandian started his journey in the Odisha Chief Minister’s Office about 12 years ago, and he regards this period as an honor. He mentioned that he learned a lot from Naveen Patnaik, lessons that will stay with him for life.

Naveen Patnaik’s Support: In response to the criticism aimed at Pandian, Naveen Patnaik had previously defended him, stating that despite his significant contributions to the party, Pandian never held any official position. Patnaik praised Pandian's excellent work, especially during crises like cyclones and the COVID-19 pandemic.
