The 70th National Film Awards, one of the most prestigious recognitions in Indian cinema, have been announced. These awards honor films censored by December 31, 2022. In the Best Telugu Regional Film category, Karthikeya 2 has emerged as the winner, beating strong contenders like Balagam, Major, and Sita Ramam.In other regional categories, KGF 2 won Best Kannada Regional Film, The Termite was recognized as the Best Marathi Regional Film, and Gulmohar starring Manoj Bajpayee won Best Hindi Regional Film. Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Saudi Vellakka CC 225/2009 took home the Best Regional Film awards in Tamil and Malayalam, respectively.These awards continue to celebrate the excellence and diversity of Indian cinema across various languages and regions.
