#NamithaTempleIncident: Actor Expresses Disappointment at Madurai Temple 🙏

Popular actress and BJP leader Namitha recently faced a bitter experience at the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Namitha visited the temple with her family but was reportedly stopped by the temple staff. Taking to Instagram, Namitha expressed her disappointment, stating that she and her family were asked to provide a Hindu caste certificate. She further mentioned that the staff and officials behaved rudely and arrogantly towards them. Namitha, who is a devout Hindu, demanded action against those who disrespected her, stating that the incident deeply hurt her feelings.

However, temple authorities responded to the controversy, explaining that they were following orders from higher authorities and merely asked Namitha to wait for some time, denying any misconduct. Many netizens have shown support for Namitha, while some have suggested that she forgive the incident. The video and her comments have since gone viral.

Namitha, originally from Surat, Gujarat, made her acting debut in 2002 with the film Sontham and later gained popularity in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. She last appeared in the Telugu movie Simha and married actor-businessman Veerendra Chowdhary in 2017. The couple has twin children.
