Ambati Rayudu is an aggressive cricketer both on the field and in real life. It is known that he retired from IPL recently.
Rayudu retired from international cricket as he was not selected for the World Cup in 2019. To the question why Rayudu was not selected, selector MSK Prasad replied that "Vijay Shankar is a 3 dimensional player, he can bat, bowl and also field". To which Rayudu replied, “ I will buy 3D glasses and watch his game”. 3 years after this controversy ended, Rayudu revealed some interesting things in a recent TV interview.
He said that he is not angry Vijay Shankar and it is the fault of the selectors for not selecting him but not Vijay Shankar. He also admitted that he had differences with few board members from the beginning. When he left the Hyderabad team and played for the AP cricket team, he said that he did not like the decisions of the then board member MSK Prasad. So Rayudu said that he joined the Hyderabad team again. He was angry that those who did not like him did politics and kept him out of the team.
