The buzz in theaters has been low recently, especially with no major hit movies releasing this summer. But this week, things are about to change with three new releases: "Gang Gang Ganesha," "Bhaje Vayu Vega," and "Gangs of Godavari." To attract movie lovers, multiplexes have come up with an exciting offer. For one day only, on May 31st, movie tickets in over 4,000 multiplex screens across India will be available for just ₹99, as announced by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI).
Major multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, Cinepolis India, Miraj Cinemas, and Movie Max have joined hands to bring this special offer to cinema enthusiasts. Kamal Gianchandani, CEO of PVR INOX Pictures, said that the offer applies to 90% of the seats, excluding premium seats. Additionally, some theaters in South India will offer tickets for less than ₹70.
This initiative aims to bring more people back to theaters, especially after a slow period due to elections and lack of new releases. Previously, a similar offer on National Cinema Day in 2022 attracted 6.5 million viewers.
